Life in New Zealand: the Internet

I had planned to include more posts with some witty observations about living in New Zealand. Obviously that has not happened. So, I'll begin with one observation that is also an excuse. There is a problem with the Internet -- or access to the Internet. It is expensive and seems to be charged by data usage (this is true for your home Internet service or if you try to buy wireless access at a cafe or other public place). So, I am going to blame the expensive (or slow) Internet for interfering with my ability to bring you witty observations. I could walk to Evan's office for free Internet, but I'm lazy and it requires a walk up a big hill!

It is my understanding that this was a campaign issue, so John Key should be fixing that problem soon so Americans can blog about life in NZ.

Next issue: yogurt. I know that you can hardly wait. Don't forget to subscribe to the feed. You don't want to miss this stuff.
